Each week, from July 5th 2006 to May 12th 2010, the writers of Portland Fiction Project wrote on a suggestion prompt. The suggestion word was to be used literally or abstractly and help shape the story in some way. Then, each week, we gathered to workshop all the individual stories. Every story was meant to stand on its own, with the author retaining editorial control. Five days later, the following Monday, revisions were due and for that story, the process for that story ended while the process continued.
