Performance at the Alberta Rose Theatre

Don’t Look Now will be happening at the Alberta Rose Theatre on June 8th, 2011 at 8pm. It will feature local writers Geneva Chao,  Alice Clark,  Joe Pitkin,  Shanna Seesz,  and  Scott Warfe, who are currently writing their pieces during a 5-week writing workshop series focusing on Homelessness, the best of which they’ll perform at the show.

Also beginning on June 8th, the rest of their homelessness focused stories will begin appearing on The Portland Fiction Project‘s online fiction publication at portlandfiction.net.

We’re also delighted to feature guest readers Laura Moulton and Lidia Yuknavitch. Laura Moulton has been working extensively on a homelessness focused writing project, Street Books. Lidia Yuknavitch was originally set to take part in the writing workshop series, but was unable to due to her book tour commitments for her recently released memoir, The Chronology of Water. We’re excited they’ll able to read with us.

Our friends Future Historians will return to perform with us again. Future Historians put on a great show at our Benefit of Doubt show in December and we’re excited to have them back. They have recently been recording a new album to be released soon.

The Portland Fiction Project is very happy to be returning to the Alberta Rose Theatre, a beautiful 300-seat venue with a great stage and a delicious menu.

The theater is located at 3000 NE Alberta St. and you can make reservations by calling (503) 764-4131.
